I have been told that this school is one of the best in the caribbean but for some poeple its a school that lives off past fame and is "not all that" any more. Well i wouldnt. I have never been there so i cant say anything about it. Its also has a rival school just at the end of jacksons Street whcih for some is a developing to the standard of the above named school in trems of academics and extra ciricular activities

Yes, this is a really nice property. I live nearby and I can go there for every little thing. The prices are a bit over the top, though but I guess for the environment it is worth it.

Glenmuir High School deserves all the accolades that has been bestowed upon it. Even from the early days of Glenmuirs existence, and in my days at Glenmuir , there was always a great pride that was exuded by every Glenmuir student. It was a confidence born of demonstrated ability, mainly in the academic arena, but also in the cultural and artistic ethos of our time. In the sports arena we were experiencing growing pains in the more prominent sports, such as football(soccer)and track and field and consequently found ourselves at the receiving end of several trouncings at the hand of our neighboring high schools. Needless to say this was not as a result of a paucity of athletic talents, because there have been quite a few over the years. Just to mention a few; Sammy D, Aston, Carmolas brothers, Kennys,(Soccer);Later on Chicken, CLeon, lofters, brown, Denham, Riley, Steve,Pinky, Catty,Prince, Clive,Scott, Track Stars- Aldeen Henry (100M boys champs) and then his sons, Michael Henry 800m (George Mason University). I could go on ad nauseam, but to the limitation of expediency, I submit. Glenmuir used to be a powerhouse in Boys Table Tennis in the late sixties and seventies, but I always knew that we would make our mark in soccer, and I predict that within another 10 years we will be a force to reckon with, in Track and Field at the BOYS CHAMPIONSHIP. Someone needs to build a stadium at Glenmuir with a mundo/ chevron rubber running track, with large stands all around the field. That is what I envision for the playing field in the future.
